Data sources
All rates and tax figures are sourced directly from official sources:
- SARS (South African Revenue Service) - income tax brackets, rebates, medical credits, transfer duty thresholds, UIF ceiling
- SARB (South African Reserve Bank) - repo rate and prime lending rate
We update rates after each SARB Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting, which takes place approximately every two months, and update tax figures after the annual National Budget.
